David Albert was born on June 21, 1840 in Pennsylvania. In the early 1880's
and 1900's he lived for awhile in Putnam county Illinois where he worked
for his cousin Owen Allen as a farm laborer. In 1907 , David inherited $600
from his uncle Henry Cassell. At that time he was living in Decatur,
Illinois. David was married for 15 years and was widowed by 1910. In
1910 he made a living making and selling ice cream in Decatur, Illinois.
At sometime during his life he was a Teamster.
Apparently he wasn't very good with money because he died destitute. About
12 months before his death he went to live at the county farm in Macon County,
Illinois. Before he went to the county farm, he had lived with his
niece Mrs. Charles Bobb. The Wednesday before his death, he was taken to
the hospital, where his death occurred from TB. He was buried in the Greenwood
cemetery, Decatur, Macon County, Illinois beside his uncle, Thomas Albert.
